Korea Shipping Association has been assigned a Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” (Excellent) by AM Best, a leading global credit rating agency specializing in the insurance industry.

 

The ratings reflect KSA’s balance sheet strength, supported by its stable capital base and conservative asset management, as well as its adequate operating performance, established position in the coastal shipping market and diversified mutual insurance product portfolio across hull and machinery (H&M) and protection and indemnity (P&I) coverages. The ratings also take into account KSA’s role as the sole statutory mutual insurance organization established under the Korea Shipping Association Act.
