KSA was founded in September 21, 1949 to promote coastal ship owner’s economic social status increase and balanced improvement of national economy.

We have developed into a strong and exemplary association and playing our dear role for improvement of coastal shipping industry.

We have been endeavoring for increased competitiveness of coastal shipping industry, proposal for self-sufficiency and protection of 2,300 members, and latest domestic/international information, also working on variety of regulation improvement to reduce stresses on members.

As preparation for disaster, further we conduct KSA Hull·P&I, total marine insurance brand. Moreover, our associated passenger ships with modern fleet, the lone mode of transportation of 260 islands with over 100 routes are increasing quality of life and maritime tourism. In terms of logistics of goods, our members play a pivotal role by delivering goods and major industrial supplies between 31 international trade ports and 29 local ports to small islands.
